Karen George
Vice President, Recruiting & Delivery, Abacus and The InSource Group
Karen has over 25 years of recruiting expertise in the IT Staffing and Talent acquisition space. She joined Abacus Technical Services in 2007 and as the Vice-President of Recruiting/ Delivery, she has been instrumental in evolving the local recruiting delivery model into a nationally focused recruiting enterprise. Karen has also developed several partnerships that have positioned the Abacus team to deliver high-volume, quality-centric, technical talent, within customizable and competitive pricing frameworks. She leads a highly experienced Delivery team who strive to deliver exceptional recruitment solutions tailored to the unique needs of our Clients.
Prior to Abacus Technical Services, Karen led the Delivery organization with Adea Solutions where she led a number of strategic initiatives, including several resource acquisition programs that provided Adea Solutions with top global technical talent. Karen was involved in establishing the domestic Call Center model and then integrating it with the offshore Global Sourcing Center. Together these organizations provided a rapid "just-in-time" candidate acquisition and delivery system for accelerated qualification and deployment of highly talented technical teams for enterprise customers across the USA.
In the early years of her career, Karen was with Hestair Computer Group/Knight Programming in London, England, and was part of an International recruiting delivery model supporting a portfolio of US and European Clients.
Karen attended the University of London and has a Joint Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages, French/German. She also studied at the L'Institut Britannique de Paris, France.
When not working, she loves to travel, eat and cook – her favorite hobbies!
