Innovative Application Development for Healthcare Provider

Our client is a very large healthcare organization, with thousands of outpatient care locations nationwide.

Our client has physicians that meet with patients in many locations including their offices, in hospitals, and in treatment facilities. Physicians were doing their rounds and not always in front of their laptops to enter clinical data. They also had difficulty pulling all the correct patient information for people enrolled in multiple treatment programs.

This organization wanted to create mobile applications for clinicians to use wherever they were meeting patients, and for them to have accurate and complete data to provide the best and safest care possible. They looked to Talent Groups to do what we do best and provide talented teams to achieve their goals.

APPROACH

Talent Groups provided teams of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Software Engineers to work on projects to create these apps. They have created a canonical data model for the enterprise and develop SMART on FHIR apps. They have turned their core clinical and financial systems into a bidirectional data lake. They synchronize with the clinical systems and feed data into the FHIR data server, then data is delivered to the systems in their native language, which allows them to swap functions.

IMPACT

Our teams helped to create a Physician Rounding App, used by physicians when they are doing their rounds. The mobile app is specific to their clinical specialty and communicates with the medical record and other software to pull data.

They also created another mobile app that creates a Patient 360 view. It has a single view architecture that pulls data from many sources so the provider can read and update all the relevant info about a patient.

Talent Groups went above and beyond to deliver on the client’s needs, in responding quickly to complicated sourcing needs to provide these teams, and ensuring the continual development and retention of these key resources.
