CHALLENGE
The existing pathology application, while functional, had reached a critical point where performance and usability issues were impacting productivity. Built years earlier by a clinician-developer, the tool had accumulated significant technical debt, making it difficult to update or scale. More importantly, the application needed to be stabilized and optimized to prepare anonymized patient and biopsy data for ingestion by a contracted machine-learning vendor.
